KeyJ's Demoscene Production Source Code Library =============================================== This SVN repository contains the source code of all my demoscene productions, most of which were released under the Kakiarts label between 2005 and 2009. * 8ball - "Kakiarts 8-Ball" Game, Win32 / MSVC2005, 3rd @ Breakpoint 2007 96k Game [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=30238] A halfway decent billiards simulator. Lacks mouse controls, but the gorgeous title screen should make up for it ;) * am - "Applied Mediocrity" 64k Intro, Win32 / MSVC2005, 1st @ Evoke 2009 PC 64k [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=53574] [http://keyj.emphy.de/applied-mediocrity/] My first intro that really used shaders to some non-trivial amount, and also my last production for a long time. * arrakis - "Arrakis" Demo, iPod nano G1 / GCC, 1st @ Nordlicht 2016 Gravedigger [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=67666] The second iPod nano demo, scheduled to be released at tUM 2006, but never finished, then excavated and finished a decade later. * bassknecht - "Basssknecht Mix Musicdisk" Musicdisk UI, Win32 / MSVC2005, no party [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=32627] The graphical frontend and music player for DQ's "Bassknecht" LP. The first time I used shaders. * blockout - "Blockout 8K / 6K" Game, Win32 / LCC-Win32 + MSVC2005, 2nd @ tUM 2005 Game [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=20981] A clone of the popular "3D Tetris" game. Originally in 8K, later reduced to 6K thanks to Crinkler. * blubb - "Blubb" Executable Graphics, Win32 / MSVC2005, 4th @ tUM 2006 4k Graphics [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=28555] A simple 4k graphics entry, reusing (and refining) an effect from "Arrakis". * fastcompo - "Aliens are our Demomaker" Demo, Win32 / LCC-Win32, 3rd @ Breakpoint 2005 Fast Demo [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=16411] Kakiarts' entry to the BP05 themed demo compo. Although hacked together in only a few hours, the scene scripting system in this demo was the base for all my demos and 64k intros until 2009. * fd11inv - "8-Bit Wonderland" / Freestyle Dust 11 Invitation Demo, Win32 / MSVC2005 + Linux / GCC, 1st @ Evoke 2007 PC Demo [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=31657] Originally made as an invitation for a gaming LAN party (which has later been canceled), but retrofitted into a demo for a general audience. Home of the legendary "Tetris scroller" effect. * focus - "focus" 4k Intro, Win32 / MSVC2005, 5th @ Breakpoint 2007 [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=30209] A simple 4k intro. With lasers though. And balls. * kjspeccy - "kjspeccy" ZX Spectrum Emulator, Win32 / MSVC2005, no party [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=30498] A simple ZX Spectrum 48k (with AY sound) emulator in not much more than 32 KiB, including the ROM. * menger - "Think inside the Box" Executable Graphics, Win32 / MSVC2005, 2nd @ tUM 2007 4k Graphics [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=34522] A still image from a Menger sponge with ambient occlusion; combines OpenGL 1.0 rendering with CPU-based postprocessing. * moebius - "Moebius" 4k Intro, Linux / GCC, 5th @ Evoke 2006 PC 4k Intro [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=25862] My attempt at a 4k intro for Linux. * nano - "nano" Demo, iPod nano G1 + GP2X + Linux + Win32 / GCC, 1st @ Evoke 2006 Wild Demo [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=25857] [http://keyj.emphy.de/making-of-nano/] The first and only demo for the iPod nano, featuring the perhaps worst 3D rasterizer ever written. * nc - "Nameless Crap" Intro, Win32 / LCC-Win32, 2nd @ Freestyle Dust 8 DCC (2004) My very first scene-like production. A very, very crappy intro without sound. * origami - "Origami" 4k Intro, Win32 / MSVC2005, 1st @ Breakpoint 2006 PC 4k Intro [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=24545] [http://keyj.emphy.de/making-of-origami/] A very lovely 4k intro. The sound code is as unconventional as it gets. * rastro - "rastro" 64k Intro, Win32 / LCC-Win32, 1st @ Evoke 2005 PC 64k Intro [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=18756] The result from having done too many prepress courses in university. OpenGL 1.1 + CPU-based postprocessing. * vortex - "vortex" 64k Intro, Win32 / LCC-Win32, 4th @ Breakpoint 2005 PC 64k Intro [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=16369] My first serious demoscene production. The texture generator created for it was in use until 2009. * vortex2 - "Vortex 2 (HD)" 64k Intro, Win32 / MSVC2005, 1st @ Evoke 2008 PC 64k Intro [http://www.pouet.net/prod.php?which=51220] My first halfway modern intro with at least some shader stuff.
